While you stay, Space Gogoshima in front of Yura Port is yours at no extra charge. Good for a workcation, good for a rainy day.

The bikes are free too.

Borrow the electric-assist bikes at Space Gogoshima free of charge. YULLAT and Shimayado also keep two of their own, and with a big group the coworking bikes are free on top of that.

Up on the hill in Yura, sleeping 5. The big living-room window is filled with the sea and the streets of Yura. Indigo walls and wooden beams — a calm house built around the bones of an old one.

Yurayado

Yura area — digital detox

The theme here is a digital detox. A green sofa, a record player, a tatami room. There is even room for ball games on the artificial-turf lawn. Waves, books and records, and time away from a screen.

Tomarigi

Tomari port — 1 min walk

Right in front of Tomari Port. Its pride is the earthen-floored room for cleaning your catch, which makes it a favorite with anglers. There is a table tennis table too, for one more round after dinner.

Coworking

Space Gogoshima.

A coworking space and shared kitchen in front of Yura Port. An open, glass-walled room with everything from single desks to a meeting room that seats 8. From ¥2,200 a day — and guests of the D1 houses use it as much as they like throughout their stay. On top of that, the electric-assist bikes are free to borrow. Monitors and other equipment can be loaned, and the room works well for seminars and team retreats.

How it works

What happens once you land.

  1. Ferry from Takahama Port

    See the access page for how to get there. You will land at either Yura Port or Tomari Port.

  2. Walk from the port to your house

    Check in as described in the instructions you receive when you book. YULLAT is a self check-in.

  3. Book meals early

    Visiting sushi chefs and barbecue courses need to be reserved in advance (see dining). For groceries, use the supermarket near the port.
